Birmingham Diocese visit
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams visited Birmingham and the Black Country on 15th and 16th November where he opened a Children's Centre, visited a Hindu Temple, met the city's Faith Leaders Group and preached at Birmingham Cathedral.

A Common Word and Future Christian-Muslim Engagement
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, has today given the opening address, in Emmanuel College, Cambridge, of a conference he has convened entitled 'A Common Word and Future Christian-Muslim Engagement'. The conference, timed to coincide with the anniversary of the release of the open letter A Common Word Between Us And You from 138 Islamic scholars, clerics and intellectuals, aims to continue the dialogue between the two Faiths, by reflecting on this letter and the Archbishop's letter A Common Word for the Common Good.

Communique of the Anglican Jewish Commission of the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel
The Anglican Jewish Commission of the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel originated in their joint declaration made at Lambeth Palace in September 2006. It provides for the Archbishop and the two Chief Rabbis (from the Ahkenazi and Sephardi communities respectively) to meet each year alternately in Lambeth and Jerusalem. It also provides for an annual meeting of a Commission to study agreed themes together and to prepare meetings of the Archbishop and Chief Rabbis in which the Anglican Bishop in Jerusalem, The Rt Revd Suheil Dawani, also takes part.
