Archbishop’s Prayer for 9/11 Anniversary

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, has called for individuals to join him in prayer on the Tenth Anniversary of Terrorist Attacks in the US on Sunday 11 September.The Archbishop has written a special prayer to mark the anniversary.
His prayer is:
Almighty God,
bless your beautiful world.
Lead her leaders from falsehood,
into Truth and Justice.
Guard and defend your children.
Re-kindle in all the citizens of your world,
the fire of your love.
And inspire us
to love one another,
and to be peace-makers.
Through Jesus Christ,
the Saviour of the World.
Amen.
