Step Forward is for anyone aged 18 to 30 who is wondering whether God might be calling them to ordained ministry in the Church of England. You may have already taken some steps down this route – or you may never have thought about it until now! Either way, the day will help you think, talk and pray through this question.The Archbishop said: "Serving God is one of the best things you can do with your life and there are many ways to carry out this calling. If you are a Christian aged between 18 and 30, might God be encouraging you to consider ordained ministry in the Church of England? Even if it is just a vague hunch, I invite you to join me at 'Step Forward' on Saturday 3rd March at Bishopthorpe Palace, just outside York. I have been ordained for over 32 years - working in ordinary parishes before I was ordained Bishop. There have been many challenges - but many, many joys too. Please pray and consider whether God may be calling you to this work - and come along to 'Step Forward' here at Bishopthorpe Palace on Saturday 3 March 2012."
