All the staff here have worked incredibly hard to ensure that the new facilities were up and running for the start of the school term. The children are looking forward to our official opening and will be able to show the Archbishop their learning in their new classrooms”.
The Archbishop of York said: “The Church has a heritage of involvement in education that goes back from 1811 when the National Society was founded. It is brilliant to see that care for children being given fresh expression in our generation through these new facilities. I pray that every child who comes here will discover more of all that God has created them to be and to do”.
The Archbishop is to tour the new school and he will then join in morning assembly with a school choir performance. The Chairman of the County Council, Cllr Kevin Ellard is to address staff, pupils and friends of the school about the building project before the Archbishop officially opens the building at 11.30am by cutting the ribbon.
