Archbishop Visits Quiet PC on his Pilgrimage of Prayer, Witness and Blessing

Thursday 7th January 2016

Whilst on his Pilgrimage of Prayer, Witness & Blessing around the Diocese of York, Archbishop Sentamu will be visiting Quiet PC, Brawby, which is a Ryedale Internet business tomorrow afternoon (Friday 8 January 2016)

During his Pilgrimage in North Yorkshire, the Archbishop has been able to see the diverse and thriving agriculture, but at Quiet PC he will see an example of a thriving business of a different kind.  The business, set up by Glenn Garrett and his father Billy has been able to help people receive fast Broadband in areas that have suffered from poor internet connections.

In the hamlet of Butterwick they also installed a Broadband connection in the church, and this has been used to conduct interviews with aid workers in the Sudan, and to 'Skype' special services to people unable to attend.
