Archbishop Sentamu Thanks JCT600

Tuesday 1st March 2016

Archbishop Sentamu thanked Welcome to Yorkshire and JCT600 for their supply of a support vehicle when he called in at JCT600 Hull as part of his 6-month Pilgrimage of Prayer Witness and Blessing across the Diocese of York on Friday 26 February 2016.

The VW Caravelle support vehicle has journeyed so far with the Archbishop throughout his Pilgrimage in Whitby, Guisborough, Middlesbrough, Stokesley, Mowbray, Northern Ryedale, Bridlington, Scarborough, Harthill, North Holderness, Howden and Hull West.

Archbishop Sentamu said: “My Pilgrimage is one of prayer, witness & blessing – and my aim is to meet as many people as I can along the way!  Most of the journey has been on foot, but there are many rural villages and outlying areas in Yorkshire that the support vehicle has helped me to reach as part of the Pilgrimage.  I am thankful to Welcome to Yorkshire and JCT600 for their support – and it’s great to have met Lee who delivered the vehicle to Bishopthorpe as we started the journey”.

The Archbishop’s Pilgrimage is to finish at York Minster on 22 May 2016.  For opportunities to walk with the Archbishop, to pray with him and to follow and share in his journey, please visit:
