Archbishop Sentamu Meets Residents at Fosbrooke House

Monday 20th February 2017

The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu is to visit Fosbrooke House, a supported living complex in Lytham St Anne’s to meet with residents and staff on Wednesday 22 February at 10.00am. During his visit, the Archbishop will also lead a service in the Chapel.

There has been a Church of England Pensions Board scheme at Fosbrooke House for more than 60 years and in 2004 the accommodation was rebuilt to meet the needs of older people who want to remain independent with the benefit of supportive staff and a caring community.

Paul Smith, Manager at Fosbrooke House said: “We are all very excited to be meeting the Archbishop and grateful for him taking time out of his busy schedule to visit our marvellous community here at Fosbrooke House.”

The Archbishop said, “It is always a great pleasure to spend time with those who have given so much in the service of God and His Church and I look forward to exchanging stories of all that we have seen God doing in our lives and ministries. I am looking forward to meeting with residents and also spending time with the staff whose wonderful work supports people to live independent lives.”
