Christian Enquiry Agency

Christian Enquiry AgencyA Point of Contact

The Christian Enquiry Agency was started in 1988 by the members of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland to serve all the churches and some Christian organisations.  With the development of the digital age, the CEA now offers information via the website which is interactive and regularly updated.  An attractive booklet about Jesus is still available by post, but most communication is now by email and this varies from a single reply to correspondence that extends over months. Many people leave prayer requests on the website and more than 200 prayer partners commit to praying through the list every week.

Linking to Mission

The CEA provides the responses to enquirers for a number of mission initiatives connected to national events, like the Olympics and the Rugby World Cup.  Until 2018, HOPE's 'Greater Love' initiative, focussing on the First World War Centenary, will direct enquirers to the CEA website.

It is our goal that the websites of every denomination and local church, would carry a link to (the technical details for this appear in  Any evangelistic poster or leaflet about an event could carry the web address too.

The Archbishop became a patron of the CEA in 2013 when the organisation became a charitable company.  At the same time, the Group for Evangelisation of Churches Together in England became its advisory body and through this CEA maintains a strong link with the denominations and related Christian agencies.

Further information about the CEA can be obtained from the Company Secretary, The Revd Kathryn Morgan BSc MA at
