    Archbishop of York Visits Churches and Communities In Samoa, Fiji and Tonga


    NEWS - The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu is to visit Samoa ,Tonga and Fiji to lead a series of Leadership Reflections on Climate Change at the invitation of the Most Revd Dr Winston Halapua, the Archbishop of Polynesia from 27 July to 14 August 2015.

    NEWS - St James’ church, Fordon celebrated its 900th anniversary with a visit from the Archbishop of York, and a beer. Archbishop Sentamu visited St James on Sunday 19th July for a service and lunch, where parishioners toasted the church with a beer from Wold Top Brewery – Fordon 900.

    NEWS - The Archbishop of York Youth Trust is delighted to announce that, since the launch of the Young Leaders Awards in 2011, 280 schools have engaged with its Young Leaders Award. Over 25 grants amounting to more than £100,000 have also been awarded through the Youth Trust for social action projects since the Trust began.

    NEWS - The Archbishop of York will consecrate the Venerable Paul Slater (formerly the Archdeacon of Richmond & Craven) as the new Bishop of Richmond on Sunday 19 July at Ripon Cathedral (4pm).
