LGBT+ History Month - A message from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York

11/02/2021

The Archbishops of Canterbury and York today shared a message to mark this year's LGBT+ history month.

Across the United Kingdom, for a number of years, February has been associated with LGBT+ History Month and many throughout our parishes, up and down the country will be marking this.

LGBT+ history month is about acknowledging and learning from past hurt, and building a society where LGBT+ people can and must live their lives free from hate and violence. We welcome this observation of the place and contribution of LGBT+ people in our society and in our church and assure people of our prayers.
