The Archbishop of York, Dr John Sentamu, and 14 other Bishops will be supporting churches across Nottinghamshire on a four-day mission to reach new people in their communities.
Hundreds of events have been planned to connect with people who do not normally go to church, from film shows and picnics, to gospel concerts and pub visits.
The oneLIFE mission is being launched at 3pm on 12th September at Field Mill, the home of Mansfield Town FC, and runs until Sunday 15th September.
The Archbishop will be at the launch along with the Rt Revd Paul Williams, the Bishop of Southwell & Nottingham, and the Rt Revd Tony Porter, Bishop of Sherwood. They will be joined by 12 other Bishops from across the north of England who are supporting the mission.
Bishop Tony said: “I am so excited to see local churches engaging with local communities with so many varied, enjoyable and thought-provoking opportunities. The weekend will be a catalyst for future events. What an opportunity, not to be missed.”
