The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, is delighted that Bishopthorpe Palace will play a part in Sir Kevin Sinfield’s remarkable fundraising efforts for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) community.
As part of his final annual challenge, 7 in 7: The Grand Finale, Sir Kevin and his team will arrive at Bishopthorpe Palace on Monday 28 September and depart the following morning as they continue their seven-day journey across the north of England. The challenge will conclude at the Betfred Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on Saturday 3 October.
Since 2020, Sir Kevin and his supporters have raised more than £11 million for charities supporting people affected by MND, inspired by the legacy of his friend and former Leeds Rhinos teammate, Rob Burrow CBE. This year’s challenge will once again support six charities working across the MND community.
