NEWS - The 10th anniversary of the Diocese of Leeds takes place on Saturday, April 20, 2024 and is an opportunity to both reflect and look forward to coming decades.

NEWS - Copmanthorpe’s annual beer festival, ‘Coptoberfest’, is making final preparations for next week’s event which starts on Thursday 10th October and runs through to the evening of Saturday 12th.

NEWS - The Anglican Diocese of Leeds has marked its 10th anniversary this past weekend, with a special service at Bradford Cathedral. The service was in part led by the Most Revd Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York, who has been visiting the area as part of the celebrations.

NEWS - Events to mark the 10th Anniversary of the Diocese of Leeds on Saturday, April 20 begin that weekend with a special visit by the Archbishop of York.

NEWS - The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, will consecrate two new bishops for the Diocese of York in a service at York Minster on Thursday 10th October beginning at 11am.

NEWS - Officers and members of the General Synod of the Church of England will attend the Sung Eucharist service at York Minster at 11am on Sunday 10th July for the first time since March 2020. 

NEWS - On Saturday 20 April, the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell visited St George’s Crypt, whose mission is to meet the need of homeless and vulnerable people in Leeds. His visit as the organisation’s Patron formed part of a weekend of mission marking the 10th anniversary of the Diocese of Leeds where he met with clergy and their communities in different settings.

NEWS - The Archbishop of York, The Most Revd Stephen Cottrell, has approved the appointments of four new Lay Canons to the Chapter of York, the governing body responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of York Minster.

NEWS - The new Suffragan Bishops of Selby and Whitby will be admitted and installed as members of the College of Canons of York Minster, during a service of Choral Evensong attended by the Archbishop of York on Friday 18th October beginning at 5.30pm.
