NEWS - Ahead of national lockdown, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have written a letter to the nation. 

NEWS - The Most Reverend Stephen Cottrell, will be enthroned as the 98th Archbishop of York at a service of Evensong at 4pm on Sunday 18 October at York Minster.

NEWS -  York Minster announces details of services and livestreamed worship for Advent and Christmas 2020

NEWS - One of the largest Advent wreaths in the country is being raised at York Minster today (Friday 27 November) as a sign of hope 

NEWS - Bishop Stephen Geoffrey Cottrell, will today take up the historic Braganza Crozier – his staff of office – in a short ceremony at York Minster, following his Confirmation of Election as the 98th Archbishop of York.  

NEWS - The Archbishop is sharing short reflections throughout January 2021 on the theme, ‘Our Hope is Found’.

NEWS - The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell has accepted the invitation to be Patron of the Sodality of Mary, Mother of Priests (SMMS).  He will officially take up the role during a virtual Zoom gathering on 17 September at 4pm where he will take time to chat with members about their ministries within the Anglican Communion.

NEWS - Twelve women and men will be ordained Deacon by the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, in the course of five services in York Minster between Friday 25th and Sunday 27th September 2020.
