Bishopthorpe Palace has been the home of the Archbishops of York for over 750 years.

The Bishopthorpe Charitable Partners' Trust is an exciting new grant-making charity, established to support the vision, work and mission of the Archbishop of York across the Northern Province of the Church of England. 

Working alongside the Archbishop of Canterbury, I hope to help the church be more joyful and more effective in sharing the gospel and in bringing hope and unity.

The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, is in Rome this week (Monday 22 May 2023) for his first official visit to the Anglican Centre and the Holy See.

A personal priority I have given myself as Archbishop of York is to pray a revolutionary prayer every day and to mean it.
