NEWS - The Rt Revd Glyn Webster will be retiring from his role as Bishop of Beverley at Epiphany, 6 January 2022. 

NEWS - The Archbishops of Canterbury and York today announced the names of the 11 Commission Members who have been appointed to the Racial justice Commission, joining Lord Boateng whose Chairmanship of the Commission was announced on 9 July 2021.

NEWS - Downing Street today (Oct 8) announced that the new Bishop of Portsmouth will be the Rt Revd Dr Jonathan Frost, who is currently the Dean of York.

NEWS - The Venerable Julie Conalty, currently Archdeacon of Tonbridge, will be the next Bishop of Birkenhead, and the Revd Canon Sam Corley, currently Rector of Leeds Minster, will be the next Bishop of Stockport, Downing Street has announced. 

NEWS - Alison White has served as Bishop of Hull since her consecration as the Church of England's second female bishop in York Minster on the 3rd July 2015. She is to retire in February 2022.

NEWS - Archbishops Justin Welby and Stephen Cottrell have announced the Rt Revd Dr Emma Ineson as the new Bishop to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York. Currently Bishop of Penrith, Dr Ineson will take up the position from 1st June 2021.
