Bishop Emma Ineson to be Bishop to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York

NEWS - Archbishops Justin Welby and Stephen Cottrell have announced the Rt Revd Dr Emma Ineson as the new Bishop to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York. Currently Bishop of Penrith, Dr Ineson will take up the position from 1st June 2021.

NEWS - The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have today announced a new commission aimed at developing a radical and inspiring vision, drawing on Christian theology and tradition, that reimagines care and support. The Commission will set out proposals to achieve this vision.

Archbishop ordains fifteen new Deacons to serve in the Diocese of York

NEWS - Fifteen women and men including a serving firefighter, current and former teachers, a hospital chaplain, and workers in homeless services will be ordained Deacon by the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, in a service in York Minster on Saturday 26th June beginning at 4.30pm.
