On 12 June 2023, Archbishop Stephen welcomed bishops and deans from the Northern Province to hear from leading academics and theologians about the origins of Anglo Saxon Christianity and what can be learned for the Church's mission today.

In 2027, it's the 1400th anniversary of the establishment of the Church of St Peter in York and the baptism of King Edwin by Paulinus. This provides an opportunity to learn from, reconnect with, and compellingly communicate the heart of Christian faith.
