NEWS -The Venerable Malcolm Chamberlain, Archdeacon of Sheffield and Rotherham, will be the new Bishop of Wakefield in the Anglican Diocese of Leeds, Downing Street announced today.

NEWS - Downing Street has announced today that the Rt Revd Ruth Worsley will become the new suffragan Bishop of Wigan in the Diocese of Liverpool. Bishop Ruth will also serve as the Interim Bishop of Liverpool.

NEWS - The Archbishop of York has today consecrated four new bishops in a service at Canterbury Cathedral. Two will serve the Diocese of Oxford, while one will serve the Diocese of Birmingham and another the Diocese in Europe.

Stephen Cottrell has written more than 20 books on subjects of evangelism, spirituality and discipleship as well as books for children.  

York Minster has today announced its programme of services, events and activities to mark Lent, Holy Week and Easter 2025.

NEWS - A statement from the Archbishop of York

NEWS - The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, participated in an ecumenical service at the Basilica of St Paul’s Outside the Walls in Rome today, during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. 

Archbishop Stephen delivered the sermon at the Festal Eucharist at York Minster on Christmas Day. This follows in full
